Mediating Wind and Humidty | Vedika Agrawal 01

Forces:- Wind and Humidity

Across the open salt pans, wind moves freely, carrying away moisture and keeping the air light. This prevents heat and humidity from building up. In the dense settlement, the same air slows down as buildings block its path. Humidity collects, and the environment feels hot and heavy. People notice this change — the air affects comfort and activity.

The design responds by acting like a breathing system. Openings and passages allow wind to enter and trapped humidity to escape. The salt pans help draw air into the settlement, connecting open and enclosed spaces. This circulation improves comfort for both people and the environment. The space becomes a place to pause and cool down, while the air can flow and refresh naturally.
